JOB REQUIREMENTS: Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professionalservices consulting firm, has a position available for a Controller tosupport our finance department. Responsibilities include: Collaboratingwith the Finance Director to oversee the daily operations of accountingsuch as but not limited to staff accountants, accounts payable, andaccounts receivable Assisting with annual business plan and leadingannual budget Managing and maintaining accounting and bankingrelationships Leading financial audits Providing leadership/supervisionto direct reports and prioritizing workloads Verifying journal entries,month end close, and FAR compliance procedures Reviewing monthlyfinancial statement preparation, complete analysis, and providefinancial support to management Coordinating local and state taxreporting and notices Administering accounting system operations Leadingongoing improvement and refinement and maintaining strong internalcontrols Conducting financial planning activities, preparing cashforecasts, and analyzing budgets Ensuring compliance with accountingstandards and regulations The successful candidate will have: Abachelor's degree (or higher) in accounting, finance, or a relatedfield from an accredited college or university AND at least ten (10)years of relevant experience The ideal candidate will have experiencewith any/all of the following: Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)Accounting and banking relationships Annual budget and business planSupervising and mentoring staff General ledger analysis, month end closeouts, financial data analysis Software conversions and updatesCorporate, state, local taxes and financial audits Accounting software(Deltek Vision, Dynamics) The ideal candidate will also be a certifiedpublic accountant.
