The laboratory processes greater than60,000 surgical specimens per year. In addition, the appointee will begiven the opportunity to work closely with multi-specialty UWComprehensive Cancer Center groups on collaborative clinical andtranslational research projects and to teach a variety of learners. TheUniversity of Wisconsin Medical Center is a tertiary care center withcomprehensive programs in cancer and transplantation, and with activelyfunded SPORE programs in both prostate and head and neck cancer.
