The physician scientist will be expected toengage in active collaborative research and build clinical and/ortranslational research in the division and obtain/maintain independentextramural funding. This position is full or part time, 80%-100% Thisposition requires work to be completed onsite, at a designated campuswork location. This position has been identified as a position of trustwith access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will berequired to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible foremployment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years.Applicants for this position will be considered for the titles:Assistant Professor, Associate Professor on the tenure track. Key JobResponsibilities: 25-30%; Clinical expectations include direct patientcare at UW Health locations, including ambulatory, inpatient and consultservice attending. 70-75%; Academic expectations include protected timeto develop a research program or teaching program and to engage inscholarly activities. Teaching medical students, residents, and fellowswithin the context of your clinical practice Proactively supportingefforts to improve diversity in clinical trial participants Participatein administrative and committee work to support the clinical andscholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and PublicHealth.
