A Manager, Provider Contracting is responsible for leadinga team to negotiate, manage, and maintain contracts with providers toensure financial and regulatory compliance. Key duties includedeveloping contract strategies, overseeing contract lifecyclemanagement, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance, and mentoring theteam to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to turnaroundtimes and compliance. The role requires strong leadership to managecontract negotiations, build provider relationships, and monitorfinancial performance. Key Accountabilities Team leadership: Mentor andmanage a team of contract managers, guiding them through complexnegotiations and ensuring they meet performance goals and deadlines.Strategic negotiation: Lead and support contract negotiations withproviders to secure favorable terms that support the organization'sfinancial and strategic objectives. Contract lifecycle management:Oversee the entire contract lifecycle from initiation, creation, andnegotiation to execution, monitoring, and renewal/pliance and regulatory adherence: Ensure all contracts and processescomply with federal, state, and industry standards and legalrequirements. Financial and operational oversight: Analyze contractperformance, monitor key financial metrics like reimbursement rates, andmake recommendations for improvement. Relationship management: Fosterand maintain strategic relationships with provider partners Processimprovement: Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and templatesfor contracting. Identify opportunities for internal process improvementand implement new provider programs or payment models. Cross-functionalcollaboration: Liaise with other departments, such as billing, legal,and operations, to ensure accurate implementation and understanding ofcontract terms.
