Shive-Hattery's Madison, WI office has an immediateopportunity for a Structural Engineer with 10+ years of experience inthe design and leadership of structural engineering projects. In thisrole, you will: Lead projects as project manager for industrial,commercial, and civic projects of various sizes with the main focus onindustrial projects. The majority of efforts will focus on ourlong-standing industrial clients who we work with locally andnationally. Work with experienced engineers and technicians whilecoordinating work within multi-discipline teams. Lead the structuraldesign portion of projects, make design recommendations and decisions,and oversee the completion and quality of construction drawings,specifications, reports and other project documentation. Establish andmanage the project scope, schedule, and budget. Mentor and teach otherteam members. Lead the design of a project from schematic design throughconstruction documents for both single-discipline and multi-disciplineprojects. Interact with and be a representative of the company withclients and contractors as it relates to on-going projects. Work onmultiple projects simultaneously. Manage shop drawing reviews and fielddata collection. Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree inengineering from an accredited program Experience: 10+ years ofexperience in the design and leadership of structural engineeringprojects. License/Certification: Professional Engineer licensure inWisconsin or the ability for immediate licensure in Wisconsin. AutodeskRevit experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.Structural design experience using concrete, steel, and masonry. Wooddesign would be a plus. Experience and willingness to provide directionto young engineers and designers, along with collaborating with otherdisciplines.
