We seek candidates for this position in sub-specialtiessuch as central nervous system, genitourinary or gastrointestinal tumorsor sarcomas. The academic physician will be expected to engage in activecollaborative research and build clinical and/or translational researchin the division and obtain/maintain independent extramural funding. Thisposition is full or part time, 80%-100% This position requires work tobe completed onsite, at a designated campus work location. This positionhas been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerablepopulations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initialcaregiver check to be eligible for employment under the WisconsinCaregiver Law and every four years. Applicants for this position will beconsidered for the titles: Associate Professor (CHS) or AssistantProfessor (CHS). The title is determined by the experience andqualifications of the finalist. Key Job Responsibilities: Provideinpatient and outpatient clinic attending services at UW Healthlocations in Madison and at additional sites in the region.Responsibilities will also include providing clinical teaching ofmedical students, residents, and fellows, as well as clinical researchendeavors. Responsibilities of the Clinical Health Sciences (CHS) trackcandidate will include: 60-65% direct patient care at UW Health approvedlocations, including ambulatory, inpatient and consult serviceattending. 35-40% academic time for research activities and/or foreducational and other scholarly activities, which includes pro-activelysupporting efforts to improve diversity in clinical trial...
