About therole: CLA is looking to hire a Controller with Technology Industryexperience, for our Client Accounting & Advisory Services (CAAS)practice, based out of any of our CLA office locations. As a Controller,you will help our clients transform their business with a collaborativeapproach that allows them to seamlessly mitigate risk, overcomechallenges, meet deadlines, and identify personnel to help them withtheir workforce needs. Primary Responsibilities... Develop fullknowledge of GAAP (FASB/SFAS) and deep understanding of financial andoperational aspects of the technology industry. Develop internal controlpolicies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budgetadministration, cash and credit management, and accounting. Coordinateand direct the financial planning, budgeting, procurements, orinvestment activities for all or part of an organization. Preparefinancial information. Prepare, or direct preparation of financialstatements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts,budgets, or reports required by regulatory agencies. Evaluate needs forprocurement of funds and investment of surpluses and make appropriaterecommendations. Monitor ratio and key performance indicators (KPI).Monitors and evaluates the performance of accounting and other financialstaff, recommending and implementing actions. Advise management onshort-term and long-term financial objectives, policies, and municate on a regular basis with boards, bankers, investors,constituents, etc.; may include prepping for and/or hosting boardpresentations. What you will need: Education: Bachelor's degree isrequired. Combination of related experience, education, and training maybe accepted in lieu of degree. CPA certification is preferred but notrequired. Experience: 6 years relevant work experience as a Controlleror equivalent is required. Accounting back-office experience isrequired.
