Clinical activities will includepatient care at local UW Health clinic locations. Teaching activitieswill involve medical students, residents, and fellows. Researchactivities may include participation in clinical trials and/ortranslational research. This position has been identified as a positionof trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidatewill be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible foremployment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years. KeyJob Responsibilities: - At least a 40% FTE neuro-ophthalmology practicewithin the UW Department of Ophthalmology at one or more of itsophthalmology care sites. - If not a full-time position inneuro-ophthalmology of 80% FTE, then an additional 40% FTE in any otherophthalmology practice (with appropriate certified residency andfellowship training) in: comprehensive ophthalmology, glaucoma,oculoplastic surgery, ophthalmic pathology, pediatricophthalmology/adult strabismus, as examples; neurology practice if acertified neurologist; research if clinician-scientist; orneuro-ophthalmology/neurology practice in another non-UWophthalmology/neurology practice. - 20% FTE for administration,teaching, etc. The successful applicant will participate inadministrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarlymissions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health.
