JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary Under the direction of the PurchasingSupervisor, the Commodity Lead is responsible responsible for developingand executing commodity strategies for resin and related materials,optimizing cost, quality, and supply chain performance. This roleinvolves leading procurement activities, negotiating contracts, managingsupplier relationships, and ensuring alignment with business objectives.Essential Functions: Managing overall supplier relationships includingsupplier performance, contracts, price negotiations, capacity planning,risk mitigation, cost and quality improvements. Raw and indirectmaterial purchase/cost analysis/cost reduction: be the commodity expert,develop a deep understanding of material types (resin, chemicals, etc.)Support development & execution of procurement strategies that alignwith company goals related to quality, cost savings, supplierperformance, and inventory management. Ensure compliance with companypolicies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements in allprocurement activities. Facilitate and assist with the vendor onboardingprocess alongside Finance, Legal, and Quality. Understanding ofcontracts, terms & conditions is a must. Collaborate closely withcross-functional teams, including manufacturing, engineering, quality,and supply chain management, to support new product development,production schedules, and overall operational needs. Maintaindepartmental metrics & assist in the execution of applicable actionplans to drive execution & achievement of goals and objectives. Managesupplier risk by ensuring a diverse and reliable supplier base,developing contingency plans, and monitoring market trends. Drivecontinuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes,reduce lead times, and optimize inventory levels across multiplebranches in USA and MX. Work with ERP and MRP systems to manage purchaseorders, monitor inventory, and track supplier performance. Other tasksas assigned. Qualifications: Associates degree required 7-10 years ofprocurement experience Experience in raw/indirect material (resin,chemicals, etc.) purchasing for manufacturing processes. Knowledge andunderstanding of purchasing practices. MRP buying knowledge. CPMCertification preferred. Must have valid driver's license, with anacceptable driving record, along with adequate insurance.
