Description Medical Logistics Specialist Multiple locations may include: Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, Chicago, IL, Miami, FL, San Diego, CA, New York, NY, Boston, MA, Texas, and other locations. This position is fully mobile, requiring travel between sites as needed. The first location to be filled is Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Job duties: u2022 Procure and manage medical supplies and equipment u2022 Perform inventory checks and maintain accurate records of all healthcare supplies and equipment u2022 Ensure the timely distribution of medical supplies and equipment to various departments within the healthcare facility u2022 Collaborate with healthcare professionals to understand their equipment needs and ensure they are met u2022 Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers for the procurement of medical supplies and equipment u2022 Monitor the lifecycle of medical equipment and manage their maintenance and repairs u2022 Implement policies and procedures for the distribution and storage of medical supplies u2022 Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations when handling medical supplies and equipment u2022 Arrange for the disposal of medical waste and expired supplies in a safe and compliant manner u2022 Conduct regular training sessions for healthcare staff on the proper handling and usage of medical equipment u2022 Adhere to the companyu2019s AS9100 and QMS policies and procedures u2022 Other duties as assigned Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the delivery of medical supplies and equipment u2022 Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as necessary u2022 Handle logistics-related documentation and records u2022 Comply with local, state, and federal laws regarding logistics and shipping u2022 Address any problems or complaints regarding delivery of medical supplies u2022 Monitor the condition of medical equipment and devices in transit u2022 Coordinate with healthcare professionals, suppliers, and transport companies u2022 Ensure patient confidentiality is upheld during the delivery process u2022 Some assembly may be required u2022 Participate in safety training and adhere to safety protocols Education/Qualifications: u2022 HS Diploma or Bachelor degree and 2 years of experience. u2022 Proven work experience as a Medical Logistics Specialist or similar role u2022 Knowledge of medical supplies and equipment u2022 Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities u2022 Proficiency with logistics and inventory software u2022 Understanding of safety protocols and standards in healthcare u2022 Strong communication and interpersonal skills u2022 Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality u2022 Bilingual; fluent in English and Spanish is preferred u2022 U.S Citizenship is required Military experience is desirable but not required. A valid passport is desirable and ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
