Our dedicated training program will provide visibility to senior leadership and mentor accessibility, all while being part of a peer group environment. Learn and work in one or more of the following areas: Freight Management / Brokerage / Sourcing / Data Science and Analytics, which may include leading a small group in the Freight Management Operation. u2022 Foster a safe work environment by complying with and administering established safety and operational procedures. u2022 Effectively resolve issues and monitor day-to-day operations for compliance using organizational and time management skills. u2022 Learn the Kaizen methodology and implement Lean processes. u2022 Gain basic knowledge of Transportation Management Systems. u2022 Create efficient loads and concise distribution sequences, and how to make cost effective transportation mode and frequency decisions for single or multiple customers and carriers. u2022 Leverage critical thinking and problem resolution to work through issues with internal teams and customer contacts. u2022 Proactive management to mitigate and avoid supply chain disruptions. u2022 Build, foster and manage carrier relationships through day to day and bid activities. u2022 Collaboration with internal and external teams to drive opportunities. u2022 Leverage KPIs and analytics to drive improvement to our customersu2019 supply chains and our internal operations. u2022 Identification of cost savings, productivity enhancements, operational deficiencies. u2022 Utilize sales skills to match available customer shipments with available carriers. Qualifications: u2022Willing to relocate based on business needs or upon completion of Logistics Trainee program. u2022 Bacheloru2019s Degree required - In Business, Supply Chain, Data Science/Analytics or related field is a plus. u2022 Demonstrated leadership through school, your community, clubs/organizations, or the military u2022 Authorized to work in the United States. Unfortunately, we are unable to sponsor individuals for employment visa for these positions. u2022 Internship or related work experience in a customer-facing role preferred. u2022 Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. u2022 Ability to learn and navigate various technology platforms. u2022 Committed to learning and growing; receptive to feedback and developing self-awareness. u2022 High level of commitment to operation and job responsibilities. u2022 Results oriented, attention to detail and effective time management and organizational skills. u2022 Builds and develops positive working relationships within department at all levels. u2022 Ability to relocate is required for this role.
