Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service to the clubs managed by Troon.Position SummaryThe Assistant Golf Professional is a key member of the golf operations team at the property and assists the 1st Assistant Golf Professional and/or Head Golf Professional in managing all golf and golf-related activities at the facility. General Description of Duties and Responsibilities:Here at Parkland, our Golf Professionals pride themselves in maintaining high levels of visibility and engagement with our members and their guests. Qualifications, Experience and Skill Requirements:Must have strong communication and interpersonal skillMust be coachable and have basic computer skillMust be dependable and have a strong work ethicKnowledge about the game of golf is requireActive PGA Associate or Class A ProfessionalWhen acting as an u0022Insideu0022 staff member:Perform clerk/cashier like dutiesResponsible for processing customer reservations for guests of the golf courseProvides customer service to arriving guests to help expedite check-in processArranges and displays golf shop inventory as necessary and directedCollects green and cart fees (and other revenue) from guests and processes in the POS system as trainedAssists in maintaining a clean, safe workplaceAssists in reconciliation of accounts receivable charges to daily register at the closing of the dayEnsure property and its amenities are secured dailyAssist with set-up of equipment and golf cartsAssist with set-up of golf tournaments in Golf GeniusPerform related duties as assigned by Head ProfessionalWhen acting as an 'Outside' staff member:Perform Starter/Ranger like dutiesResponsible for welcoming and greeting of guests and players in a friendly mannerExplaining rules and course etiquette to all groups if neededAssist with the set-up and organization of the golf carts and equipment for any regular tee time starts or outingFacilitate orderly and timely pace of play of groups to prevent delaysAnswer all questions in a friendly manner.
