The Biomedical Technician I (BMET I) position is an entry level role with primary responsibilities for general patient care equipment service and maintenance performance. The BMET I position has direct reporting responsibilities to the assigned affiliate Unity Point Clinical Engineer Manager or designated Supervisor. Why UnityPoint Health? Responsibilities + Perform preventative maintenance, electrical safety inspections, and equipment verification. + Install, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate biomedical equipment, PCs, and medical networks. + Assist senior BMETs with advanced equipment repairs and troubleshooting. + Maintain accurate service records in the CMMS database and ensure regulatory compliance. + Communicate with clinical staff regarding equipment status and provide user education. + Coordinate with vendors and service technicians to ensure proper service delivery. + Participate in ongoing training and adhere to onu2011call rotation and travel requirements. Qualifications Education: + Associate's degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology , Electronics, orotherTechnology/IT related program; militaryBiomedical Engineering Technician course graduaterequired. Experience: + Three (3)monthsexperience working with Biomedical equipment in a clinical engineering environment preferred. License(s)/Certification(s): + Valid driveru2019s license (DRLC1IA, DRLC1IL, DRLC1WI) required . + AUTOINS required for driving a personal vehicle.
