Job Description

C.H Robinson is seeking a Software Engineer on our Bots & Quoting Automation team where you will support customer quoting automation including API integrations, web scraping, & email automation for 1000s of customers. The primary focus will be on choosing optimal solutions to use for these purposes; then maintaining, implementing, and monitoring them. The team continues to lean into LLM powered solutions for customization and generalized solutions and you will work directly on applying these new tools to help build out a workforce that combines traditional software, ai/ml powered software, ai agents, and humans to efficiently handle the fractured and varied logistics processes for all of our customers C.H. Responsibilities: u2022 Partner with product managers and principal software engineers to translate requirements into detailed designs u2022 Partner with data scientists and data analysts to drive performance improvements for our applications u2022 Proactively troubleshoot applications and identify performance and availability issues providing effective options for resolution u2022 Tune performance and resolve availability issues of product or service and its dependencies u2022 Increase code quality through writing unit, integration, and acceptance tests u2022 Collaborate with other software engineers and teams on code reviews, development infrastructure, and process enhancements u2022 Grow, push the boundaries and learn new things to apply to our team's work u2022 Write clean, maintainable Python and JS code u2022 Participate in AGILE/SCRUM process u2022 Work directly on a product suite that drives revenue and cost-savings to the company bottom line Required Qualifications: u2022 2+ years of experience collaborating in a team environment shipping software u2022 Experience with automation and/or human computer-interaction (HCI) principles & design u2022 AI Native Programming u2013 you both make use of tools like copilot and think about when to integrate LLMs into systems u2022 Proficient creating applications and features in object-oriented and functional programming environments u2022 Working experience with database objects in relational databases (ex. MS SQL, Oracle, Postgres) and non-relational databases (ex. MongoDB) u2022 Proficient with GIT for version control u2022 Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience and a high school diploma/GED Preferred Qualifications: u2022 Exposure developing containerized applications (Docker) u2022 Front-End (React) development/design u2022 Exposure to statistics and machine learning concepts u2022 Web Scraping Experience (ex. Selenium, Playwright) u2022 You value Systems Thinking: how do different parts of the system interact with each other, queues, software components, agents, etc. u2022 Experience with monitoring tools (ex.
