Remote Real Estate Attorney

Description We are looking for an experienced attorney with a strong background in real estate finance and construction lending to join our team in a remote capacity. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in drafting and negotiating loan documents, managing real estate due diligence, and representing institutional lenders in commercial real estate transactions. This role requires a deep understanding of financial structures and bond financing, with a preference for candidates experienced in affordable housing projects. Responsibilities: u2022 Represent institutional lenders and capital providers in commercial real estate lending transactions, including construction and bridge loans. u2022 Draft and negotiate loan documents with precision and attention to detail. u2022 Conduct thorough reviews of title, survey, and real estate-related due diligence. u2022 Manage complex financial structures, including bond financing and syndicated credit facilities. u2022 Provide legal counsel on construction and term loans for affordable housing developments and commercial real estate projects. u2022 Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with lending regulations and policies. u2022 Handle secured and unsecured lines of credit transactions with efficiency. u2022 Advise clients on affordable housing developments involving low-income housing tax credits. u2022 Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws and regulations affecting real estate finance. u2022 Ensure all legal documentation aligns with client goals and industry standards. Requirements u2022 Must be licensed to practice law in the state where you are currently located. u2022 At least 7 years of experience in real estate finance and construction lending. u2022 Proficiency in drafting and negotiating loan documents is essential. u2022 Demonstrated experience with affordable housing developments and low-income housing tax credits preferred. u2022 Familiarity with bond financing and complex financial structures is highly desirable. u2022 Strong skills in civil litigation, including drafting motions, briefing, and discovery. u2022 Ability to manage real estate-related due diligence effectively. u2022 Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to address client needs.
