Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Rochester, New York. In this Contract to permanent role, you will play a key part in ensuring the efficient management of financial transactions and maintaining accurate records. This position is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to accuracy. Responsibilities: u2022 Process and manage a high volume of invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payment. u2022 Perform account reconciliations to verify ledger accuracy and resolve discrepancies. u2022 Handle check runs and prepare payments in compliance with company policies. u2022 Code invoices accurately and ensure proper allocation to accounts. u2022 Maintain and update financial records through precise data entry. u2022 Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to address invoice-related issues. u2022 Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, and QuickBooks Online. u2022 Generate reports and provide analysis related to accounts payable activities. u2022 Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company procedures. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role. u2022 Strong proficiency with accounting software including QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, and QuickBooks Online. u2022 Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. u2022 Ability to accurately process invoices and manage payment schedules. u2022 Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. u2022 Strong communication skills for effective interaction with vendors and team members. u2022 Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards. u2022 Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
