JOB REQUIREMENTS: Aircraft Painter I - Weekend Shiftin GAC AppletonUnique Skills: Weekend Shift Opportunity Schedule: Friday through Sundayfrom 5:00 AM to 5:30 PM Work 36 hours per week and get paid for 40hours. Education and Experience Requirements High School Diploma or GEDrequired. 1 year of painting experience. Position Purpose: The AircraftPainter I prepares the aircraft for paint related operations byperforming tasks safely within schedule while meeting qualityexpectations. Job Description Principle Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Functions: Mask, sand, and prepare aircraft for paintapplication. Apply glazing and sealing compounds in preparation forfinal painting. Operate and maintain all types of preparation andpriming equipment. Mix paints and primers. . Perform leading edgesealant work in final detail. . Comply with all safety, 5S, andhousekeeping policies. Use personal protective equipment and ensureaircraft interior is protected (PTP). Additional Functions: Properlycare for and maintain shop equipment and tools as assigned. . Complywith Paint shop standard practices. . Perform other duties as assigned.Other Requirements: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand theEnglish language. Ability to read and interpret blueprints andengineering documentation. Able to pass Pulmonary Function Test toobtain respirator certification. Ability to use tools, equipment, andmaterials in the aircraft painting process. Able to climb ladders andstairs, perform close tolerance work, work in small spaces lift up to 40pounds and work any shift. Must be computer literate. A workingknowledge of paint processes and products (lacquers, enamels, epoxies,urethanes, and acrylics). Must be able to read, write, speak, andunderstand the English language. This job requires one to be able toread, write, speak, and understand the English language.
