This role offers the opportunity to directly influence the success of AlixPartners TRS Americas practice, all the while working in a fast-paced, inclusive environment that values authenticity.The Legal Professional position is a full-time role in Southfield MI and reports to the Associate General Counsel - Restructuring.What you'll doPrepare initial drafts of client engagement letters, non-reliance agreements, confidentiality agreements, and report disclaimers for firm TRS clients, both within and outside of the contracting software tool.Monitor the firm's contract management tool (Ironclad), ticketing tool (ServiceNow), email, video calls, and verbal communications for incoming requests.Coordinate running reports from the contracting software tool as needed or requested.Review and provide risk analysis on reports and work product prior to issuance to US clients.Coordinate communication with clients' outside counsel, internal stakeholders, outside professionals, and service providers who are seeking to resolve open issues and obtain internal engagement approvals.Update and manage internal trackers of engagement letters and interim management roles, including risk management approvals.Assist and the TRS Legal team in identifying and implementing new processes to streamline new or existing practices, as well as assisting in the design, rollout, and training for any new systems.Respond with speed and accuracy to requests for information, documents, templates, task requests, and instructions.Additional responsibilities as identified, as this description is not designed to encompass a comprehensive listing of required activities, duties, or responsibilities.What you'll needAssociate's degree or higher preferred, with two (2)plusyears of experience in purchasing, contracting, procurement, as a paralegal or other relevant business experience. Familiarity with the consulting industry and bankruptcy are a plus.Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; knowledge of Ironclad and iManage preferred; experience with e-mail and video calls required. A willingness to work with technology-related business tools is mandatory as significant time will be spent working with Contract Management Software (Ironclad), ticketing software (ServiceNow), and MS Suite.Demonstrated understanding of how to develop, implement, and enhance processes.Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and milestones for projects; ability to organize self and others, and to prioritize multiple business objectives often in urgent, high-demand situations.High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent proofreading skills.Ability to take direction and work effectively both independently and within a matrix, team-oriented environment; able to work with a variety of people across cultures and geographic locations to deliver consistent and timely results.Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills; possess characteristics such as common sense, teamwork, diligence, integrity, professionalism, good judgment, accountability
