Job Summary/Description: The News Producer crafts compellingnewscasts and executes them from the control room on a daily basis. Thisperson develops the day-to-day on-air look of their newscast and workstogether as a team with Anchors, Reporters, and other crew members tohelp attract the largest available audience. Duties/Responsibilitiesinclude (but are not limited to): - Produce a daily newscast -Conceptualize a newscast rundown - Collaborate with Executive Producer,field crews, and assignment desk to determine content of newscast -Write scripts - Research stories - Pitch story ideas - Participate ineditorial meetings - Preview material before air - Work with reportersand directors on innovative production elements - Incorporate andcoordinate breaking news - Work to constantly improve and evolve thelook and execution of newscasts - Execute the show from the controlroom - Meet all show timing requirements Qualifications/Requirements: -Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Journalism, Communications, or a relatedfield, or equivalent training and/or experience - Knowledge of TV Newsproducing tools a plus (i.e., ENPS, Edius) - Ability to work a flexibleschedule and work as a member of a team - Must be results-oriented -Ability to work in a creative, fast-paced environment - Ability to makequick decisions without losing composure If you feel you're qualifiedand want to work with a great group of people, go toYou may type in the job title,station call letters, or click on
