Property Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Property Accountant to join a team in Radnor, Pennsylvania. This is a Contract to permanent opportunity where you will take full ownership of accounting functions for a diverse portfolio of properties, including office, industrial, and retail spaces. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in property accounting, proficiency with accounting software, and the ability to manage high volumes of financial data with precision. Responsibilities: u2022 Oversee full-cycle property accounting for a portfolio of approximately 80 properties, ensuring accurate financial reporting and general ledger maintenance. u2022 Perform annual tenant reconciliations, including complex calculations for pass-throughs and recoveries. u2022 Lead quarterly close processes by preparing financial statements and reconciling accounts. u2022 Review and approve operating cost invoices using Nexus Payables and Bottomline software. u2022 Calculate management fees based on cash received and applied, making adjustments between fixed and percentage-based rates. u2022 Collaborate with the Manager and Assistant Controller on special accounting projects and ad-hoc tasks. u2022 Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies throughout all processes. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting is required. u2022 Minimum of 2 years of experience in property accounting, specifically in office, industrial, or retail sectors. u2022 Proficiency in Yardi software and other accounting tools such as Nexus Payables and Bottomline. u2022 Strong understanding of cash-basis calculations and accrual accounting principles. u2022 Experience managing general ledger activities and month-end close processes. u2022 Ability to work with high volumes of properties and financial data efficiently. u2022 Candidates with storage unit or multifamily experience will not be considered.
