Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. This contract to hire position offers an exciting opportunity to manage and oversee essential financial processes within a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and excel at reconciling financial data while ensuring accuracy and compliance. Responsibilities: u2022 Process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with precision. u2022 Prepare and record journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting. u2022 Conduct thorough research to resolve discrepancies and ensure proper allocation of financial data. u2022 Perform bank reconciliations to maintain accurate account balances. u2022 Utilize QuickBooks Desktop to manage financial records and perform data entry tasks efficiently. u2022 Handle wire transfers and payment processing with attention to detail. u2022 Analyze large data sets in Excel, including downloading and organizing financial information. u2022 Maintain and update the general ledger to reflect accurate financial activity. u2022 Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth financial operations and reporting. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. u2022 Strong understanding of general ledger and journal entry preparation. u2022 Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and advanced Excel skills. u2022 Ability to analyze and manage large volumes of financial data. u2022 Excellent problem-solving skills for resolving financial discrepancies. u2022 Familiarity with wire transfers and payment processing. u2022 Experience in manufacturing environments is a plus. u2022 Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
