Apply today to learn more about our CT tech career ladder or our On-The-Job training program UPMC is seeking a Full Time CT Technologist to support the CT Department at UPMC Harrisburg __ We are offering a $20,000 sign-on bonus for a 2-year commitment to eligible new hires UPMC's new Monthly Loan Repayment Program, exclusively for December 2023 or later graduates, offers up to $9,000 in loan repayment paid over three years _Candidates will be placed in the correct job title/salary grade within career ladder based on education and experience._ SCHEDULE: 1:00pm-11:00pm rotating shifts Monday - Friday Rotating weekend call and holidays Purpose: Performs imaging procedures at an advanced level not requiring constant supervision. Competently performs a variety of advanced technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. Responsibilities: + Performs or assists Clinical Specialist in performing QA, regulatory testing, and other technical and research initiatives. + Assist with the training of staff and student technologists. + Monitors quality control activities and demonstrates advanced level of knowledge in Diagnostic Imaging by providing patient care as defined by the most up to day protocols and procedures. + Demonstrates competency of specialty equipment (i.e. 3D recon, cardiac scanning, etc.) and analyzes data promptly. + Participates in standardization activities with system-level workgroups. + Demonstrates the ability to function independently, and is able to cover off shifts, on-call responsibilities, and perform services at satellite facilities, where applicable, while continually communicating with lead and management team. + Performs all job responsibilities of CT Tech I. + Works directly with Radiologists regarding protocol development. Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of accredited CNMT program. 2 years CT experience required. Must have obtained a performance review rating of strong/solid/good on most recent performance review to be eligible for promotion. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: ARRT certified as a CT Technologist. CPR or BLS Required. CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire. + ARRT Certificate OR Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC) + Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) + Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal + Act 33 with renewal + Act 34 with renewal + Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran
