Application Engineer / SQL / Hybrid / Boston, MA Boston, MA Hybrid Contract $60/hr - $70/hr This is a contract role with a well-established financial services firm in Boston, MA (hybrid). The position supports mission critical investment and trading applications, providing front-line production support to operations, portfolio management, compliance, and trading teams. The technology environment includes Linux, SQL Server, Git, batch scheduling tools, and cloud/DevOps platforms. This opportunity is best suited for a highly technical production support engineer who enjoys working in live environments and wearing multiple hats. The role places heavy emphasis on SQL and Linux expertise, along with strong communication skills. Youu2019ll gain hands on experience supporting complex financial systems, collaborating closely with engineering teams, and improving system reliability through automation and process improvement.
