Headquartered in Buffalo, NY, Hanes Supply has six other branches in the United States. Position Summary: Responsible for providing direction and leadership to the Sales Associates while increasing profits in the field. _ Essential Duties and Responsibilities:_ u2013 Provides quality leadership for Outside Sales Associates supporting Hanes Supplyu2019s mission and profit goals. u2013 Works with management team to design and implement strategic business plan that maintains current customer base and promotes growth. u2013 Ensures the Sales team provides superior service to existing customers and that questions, complaints or concerns are handled in a timely manner. u2013 Monitors Outside Sales performance with new customer sales goals and/or addressing decreasing existing sales from key customers. u2013 Provides sales leads to develop potential sales opportunities and directs the development and growth of current sales territories by searching for other industries or specialty shops in the market. u2013 Actively reassigns office customers to Outside Sales Associates where potential is identified. u2013 Works with the Purchasing Department to ensure the appropriate supplier product promotions make it to market. u2013 Enhances and coordinates the training of the Sales team to ensure that employees have the training needed to perform at their highest level possible and develop product application expertise. u2013 Fosters communications between the Sales and Manufacturing departments to ensure customer production requirements are met. u2013 Creates accurate sales call reports and itinerary forms for weekly use and reviews all call reports weekly. u2013 Develop team oriented sales approach across the branches and manage any sales associates that are underperforming. u2013 Travel to various locations on a regular basis to support training, mentoring, and holding employees accountable as well as attending customer key trade shows to maintain vendor relations. u2013 Evaluate market opportunities and gather competitive information identifying trends that affect future growth of regional sales and profitability. u2013 Build and promote strong, long lasting customer relationships by understanding their needs and ensure Outside Sales Associates are assigned to these significant customer accounts. u2013 Works within the ISO process and leads the Sales team in the continuous improvement process. u2013 Observes all safety procedures, rules and regulations, and instruction in performance of job duties. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: u2013 Knowledge of business and management terminology and principles necessary to build and motivate the Sales team. Must have experience of successfully leading a sales team. u2013 Must possess excellent verbal and written communications skills as well as effective time management and planning skills. u2013 Must have a working knowledge of accounting principles and strong computer skills. Level of Education and Experience: - High school Diploma or equivalency required; Bacheloru2019s Degree in Sales or Marketing is desired. - Trade, manufacturing, industrial and contractor experience is highly desired. - Prior manufacturing experience and working with quality systems in an ISO environment is highly desired. _ Physical Demands:_ The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of this job.
