Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This is a short-term contract position with the potential for long-term employment, where you will play an integral role in managing financial records and ensuring accuracy in all bookkeeping tasks. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with QuickBooks and a strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations. Responsibilities: u2022 Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are properly documented. u2022 Process accounts payable and accounts receivable efficiently and in a timely manner. u2022 Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial data aligns with account balances. u2022 Utilize QuickBooks to manage and track financial data effectively. u2022 Prepare financial reports and summaries as needed to support decision-making. u2022 Monitor and resolve any discrepancies in financial records or transactions. u2022 Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations. u2022 Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and reports. u2022 Keep up-to-date with bookkeeping best practices and compliance requirements. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 5 years of bookkeeping experience with a focus on detail. u2022 Proficiency in QuickBooks and other relevant bookkeeping software. u2022 Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. u2022 Demonstrated ability to perform accurate bank reconciliations. u2022 Excellent organizational and time management skills. u2022 High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial reporting. u2022 Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members. u2022 Familiarity with compliance standards and financial regulations.
