Software Engineer, Stf - GMD Weapons Systems (GWS)

Description: What We're Doing Become a part of something IMPACT-ful Ground Missile Defense (GMD) is the heart of the Missile Defense System and a key element of our nationu2019s defense against ballistic missile attacks. The GMD Weapon System (GWS) processes data from multiple sensors to identify and characterize the inbound ballistic missile threat, plans the best defensive solution, and launches the intercepting missiles to negate the threat. The Work The Software Engineer Stf responsibilities include software development and support of the Missile Defense Agencyu2019s (MDAu2019s) Ground-Based Mid-course Defense (GMD) program. You will be responsible for developing and implementing software updates that best meet changing customer needs for new and existing features, collaborating with team members, and working in a cross-functional agile scrum team. General activities : u2022 Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions with ingenuity and creativity. u2022 Collaborates with other software and systems engineers to determine computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems with program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions. u2022 Ensure software standards are met. u2022 Demonstrate a thorough understanding and wide application of software development related technical principles, theories, and concepts. Show general knowledge of other related disciplines.
