At Cleveland Clinic, you will work alongside passionate and dedicated caregivers, receive endless support and appreciation, and build a rewarding career with one of the most respected healthcare organizations in the world.As aRadiation Therapist, you willimplement plansoftreatmentcreated by anOncologist andMedicalDosimetrist tohelp combatdiseasesandcancers.Your work can also helpprevent the recurrence of particularly malignant forms of cancer after they have been removed during surgery.This role is critical to thecomprehensivecare Cleveland Clinic provides patients, and you can make a lasting difference in their lives every day.A caregiver in this position worksPRNfrom8:00am -4:30pm.A caregiver who excels in this role will:Determineand deliverappropriate patienttreatment plans in collaboration with physicians and dosimetrists.Monitor and documentpatient'scondition and report any adverse reactions.Assess and educate patients according to specific department protocols.Position patients and select anatomic/technical parameters accurately.Check and adjust necessary equipment, including linearaccelerator.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Graduate of a CAHEA approved School of Radiation TherapyTechnology or registry eligibleRegistered Radiation Therapist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist[R.T.(R)(T)(ARRT)]in good standing.Current state licensure as a Radiation TherapistBasic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare ProviderCertification through the American Heart Association (AHA)or the American Red CrossExperience with radiation oncology specific electronic medical recordsPreferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Experience with externalRadiationTherapy, IMRT, IGRT and CT simulationPhysical Requirements:Requires ability to perform duties while walking, standing, stooping, reaching and lifting.Requires ability to lift materials weighing up to 35 lbs.Requires ability to push/pull over 100 lbs.Requires dexterity sufficient to perform computer functions.Requires Safe Operating Procedure for x-ray generating equipment.Requires ability to work the hours of operation - flexible.Requires ability to take 'call' on weekdays and weekends based on a rotational schedule.Requires ability to float to other CCHS facilities when needed.Personal Protective Equipment:Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.Pay RangeMinimum hourly: $44.00Maximum hourly: $44.00The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education.
