Organization Overview: The Technician u2013 QC in Indianapolis Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (IAPI) group performs accurate and timely testing of routine and some non-routine lab samples in accordance with appropriate GMP and safety guidelines. The technician completes second person verification of other's results. The technician also participates in laboratory analytical investigations, equipment evaluations and qualification, and some quality system improvement initiatives by executing well-defined protocols and procedures. The technician shares technical information and best practice within plant sites or group. Responsibilities: _Sample Analysis and Reporting_ u2022Verify (SPV) analytical data of other analysts within the lab as requested. u2022Accurately and safely perform analytical test methods or related support activities as per procedures or protocols. Uses technical knowledge in the review and interpretation of data for conformances to procedures, standards, protocols, and/or real-time recognition of aberrant data and results. u2022Perform data entry and reviews own work for accuracy in accordance with laboratory procedures, standards and GMP requirements. u2022May perform holistic review of data for release of data from the laboratory. _Problem Solving_ u2022Recognizes when a deviation from test methods, procedures, et cetera has occurred and initiates analytical investigations and participates in a Root Cause Investigations. u2022Participates in investigations for deviations. u2022Assists in troubleshooting equipment and methods as required. _Continuous Improvement Initiatives_ u2022Assist in improvement of quality systems by creating or revising worksheets and other lab documentation systems. u2022Identifies and communicates opportunities for improvement initiatives in daily work activities. u2022Reviews SOPs for executable as written. u2022Shares technical information and best practice within plant sites or group. _Lab Operations_ u2022Assist with drafting protocols for non-routine testing or validation with appropriate guidance. u2022Assist in developing equipment qualification protocols with appropriate guidance. u2022Perform routine equipment calibrations or maintenance. u2022Comply with and assist with implementing safety standards. u2022Execute notification to management when required by procedures or standards. u2022Initiate lab deviations u2022Train and mentor others. Assist with developing training materials. Basic Requirements: u2022Associateu2019s degree in a science field related to the lab (e.g., chemistry for Chem. Labs) or 1+ years of demonstrated relevant experience in a GMP analytical lab Additional Skills/Preferences: u2022Proficiency with computer systems LIMS, Empower, Excel, etc. u2022Ability to work in a lab environment, including wearing appropriate PPE and other safety required equipment and considerations. u2022Demonstrate strong math and documentation skills. u2022Demonstrate strong oral and written communication and interpersonal interaction skills. Additional Information: u2022Sunday-Thursday 8 Hour Evening to Night Shift. u2022Tasks may require repetitive motion and standing for long periods of time. u2022Must be able to lift at least 5 liters of liquid. u2022Overtime or weekend work required, as necessary. The anticipated wage for this position is $18.02 - $34.90 Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
