Python Data/AI/ML Engineer

Description We are looking for an experienced Python Data/ML/AI Engineer to join our team in Tampa, Florida. This is a contract position with the potential for a long-term opportunity, offering the chance to work on challenging projects while contributing to the design and development of advanced data solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data engineering, analytics, and database management, and will play a key role in transforming data into actionable insights. Responsibilities: u2022 Develop and implement business intelligence solutions tailored to user requirements and organizational goals. u2022 Collaborate with stakeholders to gather technical and functional requirements, ensuring the successful creation of reporting solutions. u2022 Design, model, and maintain databases and data marts that support analytical and reporting needs. u2022 Build and manage ETL processes to efficiently load data into data repositories. u2022 Monitor and enhance data quality, recommending governance practices and controls for self-service analytics. u2022 Create automated validation and reconciliation checks to ensure data accuracy and integrity. u2022 Design data warehouses and implement dimensional modeling techniques such as star and snowflake schemas. u2022 Utilize programming languages like Python to clean, merge, and reshape data for analysis. u2022 Write optimized queries, functions, and stored procedures for databases such as SQL Server and PostgreSQL. u2022 Debug and troubleshoot issues across application and database layers to ensure seamless operations. Requirements u2022 Proficiency in Python and experience with ETL processes. u2022 Familiarity with Apache Airflow or similar orchestration tools for managing data pipelines. u2022 Strong knowledge of Tableau for creating insightful and interactive dashboards. u2022 Expertise in dimensional modeling and designing data warehouses. u2022 Ability to perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends and data quality issues. u2022 Experience with database design and writing optimized queries for SQL Server and PostgreSQL. u2022 Effective communication skills for collaborating with technical teams and stakeholders. u2022 A minimum of five years of experience in business intelligence development, including database design and reporting tools.
