Under the supervision of the Regional Director, with direction from theYouth Development and Out-of-School Time Leadership Team, the SiteDirector coordinates and provides supervision of the OST (Out of SchoolTime) program to ensure quality services which provide growth inacademics, social emotional development and health and wellness. TheSite Director is responsible for operating a School Age Out of SchoolTime program through the school year (September-June), supportingVacation Care Program (December, February, and April School vacationweeks) at a YMCA Center along with leading a 5 week Summer LearningAcademy during the summer (July-August), including 2 weeks of summercamp support at a YMCA center. The Director conducts themselves in acaring, responsible, honest, and respectful manner and is a role modelfor colleagues, staff as well as for program families. They ensure focuson Y core focus areas that promotes healthy living, socialresponsibility, and youth development. In addition, they coordinate andprovide services and events for their respective communities. SiteDirector qualified by Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) andDepartment of Public Health (DPH) regulations 2nd Language preferred(Spanish and English) Knowledge of community services in Boston andexperience with connecting families with resources Extensive experienceworking in urban communities and schools Knowledge of school-basedprogramming and the goals of BPS Must be motivated, energetic, punctual,responsible, and exhibit a positive attitude to be an excellent rolemodel for children and staff members Ability to lead, teach, andinteract with parents, staff, teachers, children, and the schoolcommunity Full commitment to the mission/philosophy of the designatedBPS school and YMCA Program Knowledge of and ability to facilitate EarlyEducation & Care (EEC) regulations Excitement and positive attitudetoward working with children Dedication to the pursuit of education (forself and students) Experience working with diverse population
