He/she works collaboratively with the team to optimize patient outcomes and maximize reimbursement for the organization; Assists with the accurate processing and collection of clinical data and subsequent submission to CMS via the UDS-MR software; Participates in developing and implementing marketing strategies that parallel the admissions process in collaboration with the Director of Rehabilitation Services.MINIMUM/PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:- Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.- License per related field required.- Minimum of 2 years of clinical rehabilitation experience preferred.- Experience or knowledge of Medicare Rehabilitation regulations preferred.- Experience in Case Management preferred.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:- Coordinates the referral development system designed to facilitate referrals to the Unit.- Conducts thorough pre-admission assessments of rehab candidates from phone inquiries, faxed referrals and onsite assessments when appropriate. Makes acceptance recommendation to Medical Director and/or Director of Rehabilitation Services.- Collaborates with in-house staff to offer rehabilitation services to patients at NNMC who qualify.
