Ensure that quality is maintained and that costs are held to a minimum.u003c/liu003eu003cliu003eManage the Production Superintendents and/or Supervisors on daily schedules, staffing and production attainment.u003c/liu003eu003cliu003eOversee the hiring and training of technical production employees to ensure a competent workforce.u003c/liu003eu003cliu003eAssures adequate staffing and training to execute operational plans.u003c/liu003eu003cliu003eDrive excellence in customer and internal quality through process standardization and teamu003c/liu003eu003cliu003eSet operational performance goals in line to meet Profit Plan targets.u003c/liu003eu003cliu003eStudy daily operating results, meet daily with subordinates, and have daily contact with various department heads on operational performance gaps.u003c/liu003eu003cliu003eDirects and/or supports investigation of operational issues and follow-up to ensure that issues have been corrected or to determine the next best course of action.u003c/liu003eu003cliu003eEstablish individual personnel objectives through analysis of and familiarity with each individual’s job function. Help develop employee potential and leverage individual, and managerial capabilities.u003c/liu003eu003cliu003eConsult with the Plant Controller to develop annual operating budgets and controls.u003c/liu003eu003cliu003eSupply accounting with staffing requirements for costing-out to determine the annual profit plan.u003c/liu003eu003cliu003eGive accounting monthly labor-hour estimates of indirect and direct labor for forecasting profit by the month.
