LMI is seeking a motivated Power Platform Automation & App Development Intern to support business and IT teams by designing and delivering low-code solutions that streamline processes and improve efficiency. This internship provides hands-on experience building real-world applications and automated workflows using Microsoft Power Platform technologies, while working closely with stakeholders across the organization.LMI is a new breed of digital solutions provider dedicated to accelerating government impact with innovation and speed. Headquartered in Tysons, Virginia, LMI is committed to delivering impactful results that strengthen missions and drive lasting value.The intern will focus primarily on process automation and application development, including:Design, build, and maintain automated workflows using Power AutomateDevelop and enhance low-code applications using Power Apps (primarily canvas apps)Translate business and operational requirements into scalable automation and app solutionsIntegrate Power Platform solutions with Microsoft 365 services (SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, Excel, Dataverse)Test, troubleshoot, and optimize workflows and applications for performance and reliabilityDocument solutions, workflows, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Support governance, security, and best practices within the Power Platform environmentParticipate in sprint planning, project meetings, and/or solution reviewsCurrently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related technical fieldAvailable to work 10-12 weeks beginning June 2026Authorized to work in the United States for any employerHands-on experience with Power Automate and/or Power Apps through coursework, projects, or internshipsFamiliarity with Microsoft 365 services and common data sourcesStrong analytical, problem-solving, and logical thinking skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environmentAdditional Desired QualificationsExperience building canvas Power Apps with user-friendly interfacesExperience creating automated workflows that integrate multiple systemsBasic understanding of connectors, triggers, approvals, and error handling in Power AutomateFamiliarity with Dataverse and environment management conceptsExposure to Power BI or data visualization concepts (nice to have)Interest in low-code/no-code development and process improvement initiativesOther InformationAll intern positions at LMI are paid positions.
