Consistent schedule and guaranteed 40 hours with opportunity for overtime.Production opportunities available on 2nd and 3rd shift. Refining and Casting OpportunitiesThe refining and casting operations receive lead bullion from the furnaces and refines it into variety of new lead alloys that are cast into ingots. The ingots are sent back to the on site battery production facilities for use in new battery production.Refining Attendant:Receives lead from furnaces and fills kettles with lead bullionCalculates additive and reagent amounts necessary to add to the leadLearns how to operate lead analysis equipment to determine lead qualityRemoves dross from kettles as necessary prior to next refining process Utilizes overhead cranes and forklifts frequentlyCasting:Controls flow of molten lead into molds.Monitors temperature of lead and adjusts as necessaryEnsure ingots are marked correctly and clean of any flashingsUtilize forklift to move finished ingots into storage area Maintains regular attendance.*Ability to work mandatory overtime.Performs other duties as requested by Management.Responsible for producing a high-quality product.Responsible for proper hygiene, housekeeping, and safety practices.Basic Reading Skills (must be able to read and interpret 1st piece inspection)Basic Math Skills (adding, subtracting, dividing, multiplying) Basic Computer Skills (ability to interact with computer screens)Ability to communicate with co-workers Equal Opportunity Employer.East Penn offers excellent benefits:Competitive compensationGroup insurance that includes vision, medical, dental and prescription coverageProfit sharing and 401KAnnual bonus9 paid holidays and 10 paid vacation daysEmployee assistance programsFitness DiscountsPromotional opportunities
