We provide leading‐edge conveyor and sortation systems, voice and light‐directed order fulfillment equipment, controls and software, robotics, mezzanines, and structures.If you want to join a team of industry leading experts and who want to create an impact on the future of material handling solutions, we want to hear from you!Position Summary:Inventory Investigators; under general supervision, investigate and distributematerial shortages for Inventory Department of Daifuku's Conveyors Shop.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Performing material expediting and transaction verification for urgent/priority work order requirementsInvestigating databases, locates materials, and distributes to departments as required Running critical material reports,coordinates movement and obtains status and location of critical materialFollowing-up on past due material and prepares daily reports to supervisor of material delays effecting work ordersPerforming clerical duties, and maintaining accurate records and files of activitiesReceiving, unpacking, and delivering goods; re-stocks items as necessary; labels shelvesMay lead, guide, and train staff, student employees, and interns performing related workPerforming other duties as assigned based on Inventory Department needsEmployees are responsible to comply with all requirements of Daifuku’s QMS policies and procedures. Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction.Education and Requirements:High school diploma or equivalentKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and programsDetail-oriented, organized and thoroughAbility to multi-task and provide team supportAbility to reconcile stock counts to report dataAbility to analyze and solve problemsAbility to receive, stock, and/or deliver goodsClerical, word processing, and/or office skillsGood interpersonal skills for working with various departmentsAbility to read, write, speak, and understand the English languageADA Requirements:Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of forcefrequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. This factor isimportant if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires full use of the lower extremities and backmuscles.Kneeling: Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.Crouching: Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.Standing: Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time.Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving fromone work site to anotherLifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from positionto position.
