This role focuses on building relationships with venture-backed companies across diverse industries, sourcing new opportunities, and structuring innovative debt solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong network within the venture capital ecosystem and proven experience in venture lending and portfolio management.Originate new relationships with venture-backed companies and their investors, driving deal flow for both debt and deposit opportunities.Build and maintain relationships with founders, executives, and VC firms to meet business objectives.Represent Stifel at industry events and actively build the Venture Banking brand in the Boston market.Oversee deal processes, including structuring, underwriting, documentation, and closing.Manage a portfolio of venture-backed clients, deploying Stifel’s platform resources to support growth.Recruit, develop, and lead a team of venture banking professionals.Collaborate with Stifel leadership to develop new products and leverage the broader Stifel platform (Investment Banking, Wealth Management, etc.).Proven origination track record in venture banking, venture debt, or related financial services.Deep relationships within the VC ecosystem and strong business development skills.Advanced knowledge of venture lending, structuring, underwriting, and portfolio management.Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and client portfolios.Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics or related field or equivalent experienceMinimum Required:10+ years' of relavent experience in venture bankding or related financial servicesMinimum Required: NoneProficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook #LI-JK1Salary: USD $225,000.00/Yr. - USD $300,000.00/Yr. Actual salaries may vary, and may be based on several factors, including but not limited to each candidate’s qualifications, skills, and overall competencies for the position. The base salary is one component of Stifel’s overall compensation package for each individual employee.
