Regardless of how, when or where you want to fly, our mission is simple; deliver a premium, personalized aviation experience for every customer.Role Overview: What You’ll Be DoingWheels Up is looking for a world-class Aircraft Maintenance Technician in Elkhart, IN to join our team of dedicated and passionate professionals, fueled by the most powerful brand in private aviation, as we continue our mission of democratizing the private aviation space through cutting-edge technology and innovative product and service offerings.?Your Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions)Directly responsible to the Supervisor of Maintenance (First Shift) or Manager of Maintenance for the operation he/she is assigned.Ability to dispatchin a short period of time to repair aircraft.Complete assigned tasks properly andtimelyin accordance withthe policies and proceduresset forth inthe manual.Complete all paperwork related to assigned tasks properly andtimely.Maintain adequate number and quality of tools necessary to perform assigned tasks.Ensure proper Required Inspection item procedures are adhered to and to notify the Manager of Maintenance or the Quality Assurance Coordinator upon completion.Understand and follow procedures out of theaircraftmanufacture’s maintenance manuals.Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned by the Supervisor or Maintenance, Manager ofMaintenanceor higher authority.What You Bring to the Table: Education & Certification RequirementsWe’re looking for someone who has a unique mix of experience, skills, and passion for what we do:Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant Licenserequired.2+ years' experience on corporateaircraft,specficially: King Air, Citation X, Beechjet, Phenom 300, and Challenger 350Active, valid Driver’s Licenserequired.High school diploma, or GEDrequired.Must own and provide a minimumset of tools.Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.Must be willing to work in an environment that is subject to changing climate conditions and moderate noise levels.Must be able to exercise good judgement in a team environment as well as in aircraft maintenance and safety.Must have problem solving and organizational skills.Must be able to read and understand Company and Manufacturer Manuals.Must be able to perform all line maintenance functions unsupervised at any time.The Extras We Value (Preferred Requirements)While not mandatory, here are some additional things that would make you stand out:Excellent communication and people skills.Physical RequirementsWe want to make sure you’re fully equipped for success. The hourly wage for this role ranges from $30.00/hour to $45.00/hour, depending on a variety of factors. We don’t typically start individuals at the top of the salary range; your place within the range is based on what you bring to the table.
