Assist with goal net handling and installation. Assist with ice repairs as directed by Game Day Operations Supervisor. Ice Crew members must be proficient ice skaters. The William D. Mullins Memorial Center, also known as the Mullins Center, is a 9,493-seat multi-purpose arena (10,500 for 360 concerts), located on the campus of the University of Massachusetts, in Amherst, Massachusetts. The Mullins Center is the home of UMass Minutemen men's basketball, women's basketball, and men's ice hockey. In addition, the venue hosts numerous concerts, family shows, theater shows, and commencements annually. Located adjacent to the Mullins Center is the Mullins Community Ice Rink, which is open for public skating and racquetball.Assist with goal net handling and installation.Performs snow cleanup during timeouts for UMass hockey gamesEnsures a clean and safe ice surface for UMass hockey gamesAssist with ice repairsActs as representative for the Mullins Center to the general public, must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of game day protocols and proceduresDeals knowledgably, pleasantly and professionally with the other crewResponsible for keeping game running smoothly and on timeArrives early and stays late to assist with game prep and breakdownPerforms other duties as requested by supervisors or managementMust have an above average ice skating ability - experienced hockey players and figure skaters preferredMust be extremely punctual.
