Sr. Financial Analyst

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our team in San Jose, California. In this long-term contract position, you will play a critical role in driving financial performance while supporting strategic initiatives for the organization. This role requires a strong analytical mindset and a deep understanding of financial processes within the credit union industry. Responsibilities: u2022 Conduct detailed financial analysis to evaluate organizational performance and identify areas for improvement. u2022 Develop complex financial models to support strategic decision-making processes. u2022 Perform variance analysis to compare actual financial results against forecasts and budgets. u2022 Generate ad hoc financial reports and analyses to address specific business needs and questions. u2022 Utilize data mining techniques to extract and interpret relevant financial information. u2022 Collaborate with the Asset/Liability Committee to provide insights and recommendations. u2022 Prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations for senior management. u2022 Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial data to support planning and forecasting activities. u2022 Monitor market trends and economic factors impacting the credit union industry. u2022 Assist in implementing best practices for financial operations and analysis. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis within a credit union or similar organization. u2022 Proficiency in financial modeling and advanced analytical techniques. u2022 Strong skills in variance analysis and interpreting complex financial data. u2022 Experience with ad hoc financial reporting and data analysis. u2022 Familiarity with data mining methods and tools. u2022 Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial information. u2022 Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership. u2022 Advanced proficiency in financial systems and software applications.
