Job Summary and Qualifications Occupational Therapist We are currently looking for an ambitious Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team on a full-time basis. As an OT on our team, you will be a skilled member of the healthcare team and provide therapeutic services to patients using initial assessments, therapeutic procedures and interventions in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the hospital and applicable law. The Occupational Therapist provides high-quality, patient-centered care by managing the complete process of occupational therapeutic care of an assigned group of patients, in coordination with the physician and the patient care team. The Occupational Therapist completes patient assessments, and participates in developing and implementing individualized care plans, focusing on goal achievement, patient engagement, and positive patient experience. The Occupational Therapist provides or directs a majority of the patientu2019s physical therapy to support patients throughout home health and the continuum of care. Your duties and responsibilities may include: u00b7 Treat disabilities, injuries and disease using therapeutic techniques according to prescriptions from a physician, performs testing and evaluation procedures on patients. u00b7 Record and document patient observation, treatment and changes in condition. u00b7 Monitor, analyze and review clinical data. u00b7 Reevaluate and modify treatment plans and goals based upon patient performance. u00b7 Communicate clearly and provide explanation of care in a way that can be easily understood by patients and their families. Requirements: + Bacheloru2019s Degree in Occupational Therapy; Masteru2019s preferred + Experience in appropriate healthcare setting + Clear/active Florida Occupational Therapist license + Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification + Current FIM (Functional Independence Measure) required (within 90 days of hire) + Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills; ability to read/comprehend written instructions; ability to follow verbal instructions; PC skills
