Come and experience your future You will use your Systems Engineering Knowledge and System Safety Expertise to analyze hardware and software, establish and maintain system safety requirements in support of mission results. You will support the Systems Engineering team throughout the lifecycle of the system. You will support detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies, and support the translation of customer requirements into hardware and software requirements. You will support Systems Engineering during System Integration and will support verification/validation of system requirements. As our System Safety Engineer, your responsibilities will also include the following tasks: u2022 Develop and/or update Preliminary Hazard List (PHL), Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA), Functional Hazard Analyses (FHAs), System Hazard Analyses (SHA), and Safety Assessment Reports (SAR) u2022 Prepare presentations and participate in Design Reviews, Test Readiness Reviews, Technical Interchange Meetings, and various working groups and safety review meetings u2022 Develop and/or update System Safety documents to support Customer, Range Safety, and contractual requirements u2022 Review and provide input to test procedures for adherence to System Safety requirements u2022 Coordinate with test range safety teams and writing range safety reports to support testing u2022 Development and maintenance of a Hazard Tracking System (HTS) used to document real and potential hazards, their assessments, and their respective mitigation's. Basic Qualifications: u2022 Experience using System Safety Standards u2022 Experience with the development, documentation, and verification of system requirements. u2022 Knowledge and application of System Safety design and operations safety principles to include experience with hazard identification, analysis, risk mitigation and/or associated deliverable documentation. u2022 Secret security clearance Desired Skills: u2022 Experience using MIL-STD-882E and AFSPCMAN 91-710, or other relevant industry and/or range safety standards u2022 Experience defining safety requirements, influencing design to integrate safety requirements, and verifying safety requirements. u2022 Software system safety experience u2022 Experience participating in System Safety Working Groups u2022 Familiarity with MBSE u2022 Familiarity with DOORs u2022 Effective communication skills with the ability to engage and interact in group meeting/working environments with team members, development organizations and customers. u2022 Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
