Material Handler - Reach Truck/Material handling Job Purpose: u2022 Operate forklifts safely and efficiently. u2022 Handle all inbound and outbound freight properly and orderly. u2022 Maintain warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping. u2022 Ensure all shipments are correctly staged, checked, and loaded properly. u2022 Properly store stock in the warehouse. u2022 Provide material handling services for warehouse shipping and receiving activities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: u2022 Assist the Warehouse Manager to ensure efficient warehouse operation. u2022 Operate REACH TRUCK and / or EPJ u2022 Use computers and handheld RF equipment. u2022 Load and unload trucks/trailers safely using proper procedures. u2022 Work flexible 10 to 12-hour shifts and not afraid of heights. u2022 Pick and move stock weighing 1 lb. to 50 lbs. multiple times. u2022 Process outbound cross-dock freight. u2022 Store stock properly and maintain organized stacking. u2022 Verify shipment accuracy against paperwork for all deliveries. u2022 Complete daily forklift maintenance inspections. u2022 Handle customer products properly and orderly. u2022 Report accidents or damage to the Shift Supervisor immediately. u2022 Maintain access to dock doors. Additional Responsibilities: u2022 Possess a sense of urgency, accountability, and work with limited supervision. u2022 Exhibit good communication, problem resolution, and people skills. u2022 Be flexible with overtime and shift coverage. u2022 Utilize PC skills. u2022 Build pallets and break down stock for orders. u2022 Work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse.
