Description This position requires customer service skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a degree of independent decision-making. This position reports to a Supervisor of Ophthalmic Operations, Chief Ophthalmic Technician, or other clinic leadership and will work within a specific section of the Ophthalmology clinic. Photography skills include: Identify and image ocular anatomy for diagnostic and documentary photography; perform single and stereo fundus photography, photograph posterior pole through and around dense or opaque media; all Optical Coherence Tomography and OCTA imaging, topography, slit lamp and gonio photography, perform Angiography and obtain images (both FA and ICG); red free posterior pole and stereo imaging, A-scan and B-scan imaging, Optical Biometry, operating room imaging; IOL calculations, Fundus Auto-fluorescence and diffuse external photography, complete CITI certification and work within the framework of an IRB for clinical trials and studies. Certify for assigned clinical trial photography studies; complete images and other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: + HS diploma preferred and two (2) years of related experience. + BLS certified, film & digital based photo skills at the advanced level, experience in ophthalmic or medical photography required; + JCAHPO certification COA, COT, CMOT preferred; + CRA, CDOS or ROUB certification must be obtained within a year of employment.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (Medium): 20-50 lbs; 0-33% of the work day (occasionally); 11-25 lbs, 34-66% of the workday (frequently); 01-10 lbs, 67-100% of the workday (constantly); Lifting 50 lbs max; Carrying of objects up to 25 lbs; Occasional to frequent standing & walking, Occasional sitting, Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing), Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS: Factors affecting environment conditions may vary depending on the assigned work area and tasks. Environmental exposures include, but are not limited to: Blood-borne pathogen exposure Bio-hazardous waste Chemicals/gases/fumes/vapors Communicable diseases Electrical shock , Floor Surfaces, Hot/Cold Temperatures, Indoor/Outdoor conditions, Latex, Lighting, Patient care/handling injuries, Radiation , Shift work, Travel may be required. Use of personal protective equipment, including respirators, environmental conditions may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.
