Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. This role focuses on managing accounts payable processes within a fully automated system while ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will excel in processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and contributing to overall financial operations. Responsibilities: u2022 Process vendor invoices using automated systems, ensuring accuracy and addressing discrepancies with internal teams and vendors. u2022 Prepare and execute payments, including checks, wire transfers, and credit card transactions, and manage file uploads for bank processing. u2022 Perform general ledger activities such as posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and generating financial reports. u2022 Calculate and accrue sales and use taxes, analyze corporate credit card transactions, and upload data accurately into the general ledger. u2022 Collaborate on special projects and provide data analysis to improve accounts payable processes and overall efficiency. u2022 Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting principles while maintaining precise records. u2022 Support audits and provide documentation related to accounts payable as required. u2022 Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to their implementation. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in accounts payable operations, preferably in an automated environment. u2022 Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. u2022 Proficiency in processing invoices, coding transactions, and preparing payments. u2022 Familiarity with general ledger functions, including journal entries and account reconciliations. u2022 Ability to calculate and manage sales tax accruals and corporate credit card uploads. u2022 Effective problem-solving skills to resolve invoice discrepancies. u2022 Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities. u2022 Proficiency in relevant accounting software and tools.
