Accounting Clerk

Description We are looking for a dedicated Accounting Clerk to join our client's team in St. Louis, Missouri. This role involves managing comprehensive bookkeeping tasks, ensuring financial accuracy. Responsibilities: u2022 Conduct bank reconciliations to verify and ensure the accuracy of financial data. u2022 Process accounts payable and receivable transactions promptly and accurately. u2022 Follow up with overdue accounts. u2022 Assist in budgeting and financial planning activities to support organizational goals. u2022 Ensure compliance with accounting standards and relevant regulations. u2022 Utilize accounting software, such as QuickBooks, to record and manage financial transactions. u2022 Support year-end tax preparation and ensure payroll processing is completed efficiently. u2022 Maintain detailed records of all financial transactions to facilitate audits and reporting requirements. Requirements u2022 Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and/or Great Plains u2022 Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word. u2022 Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial regulations. u2022 Payroll processing experience is a plus u2022 Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping. u2022 Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively. u2022 Prior experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role is essential.
