Designer are responsible for developing detailed raceway designs including cable tray and above ground conduit from concept to completion. Location This position can be based in any of the following office locations: Lenexa, KS; Lone Tree, CO; Houston, TX; Raleigh, NC; Phoenix/Tempe, AZ; New York City, NY; or Woodcliff Lake, NJ. For roles in Chattanooga, TN; Detroit, MI; or Richmond, VA, the position will start remotely and transition to a hybrid/in office arrangement once the new office is established. Responsibilities u2022 Design cable tray, grounding and lighting systems from concept to completion u2022 Perform calculations to size and check allowable fill in conduits and cable tray systems according to NEC requirements u2022 Routes electrical cables in a 3D environment to generate a cable schedule u2022 Perform layout of electrical equipment in electrical buildings u2022 Develops 3D models utilizing drawings, sketches, and design skills u2022 Checks and navigates in the 3D models for interferences and constructability u2022 Perform calculations to size pull boxes according to NEC requirements u2022 Design and draft intermediate electrical drawings u2022 Little to no supervision required to apply standard correctly to design u2022 Initiates development of personal objectives aligned with those of the organization u2022 Performs assigned work efficiently and effectively to maximize person productivity u2022 Complies with company standards to produce quality deliverables u2022 Completes miscellaneous tasks to support project development u2022 Participates in project meetings as required Qualifications u2022 At least 5 yearsu2019 experience in electrical design u2022 Power Generation experience preferred u2022 Experience in SmartPlant 3D u2022 Experience in AutoCAD or MicroStation u2022 Experience designing cable tray from concept to completion u2022 Experience in grounding systems u2022 Experience utilizing the NEC u2022 Must be able to conceptualize in a 3D environment u2022 Ability to work in a growing, adaptive and multi-discipline team environment u2022 Ability to work independently with limited direction and oversight u2022 Strong written and verbal communication skills; fluent in English language #LI-SM1 Working Conditions Other Requirements: u2022 Regular, reliable attendance u2022 Work productively and meet deadlines timely u2022 Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment u2022 Perform work safely and effectively.
