Associate General Counsel

Description We are looking for an experienced Associate General Counsel to join our team in Hartford, Connecticut. This is a long-term contract position that requires a skilled legal expert with strong attention to detail to provide strategic guidance on complex litigation and regulatory matters. The role will involve collaborating closely with external counsel, government officials, and hospital leadership. Responsibilities: u2022 Provide legal expertise and oversight in managing litigation cases and ensuring strong representation. u2022 Offer guidance on regulatory risks and ambiguities, particularly in healthcare-related matters. u2022 Advise on legal issues surrounding transgender care and other specialized areas. u2022 Collaborate directly with the Attorney General, external counsel, and hospital administration to build effective partnerships. u2022 Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts when necessary. u2022 Manage overflow tasks related to compliance and contract management in coordination with other attorneys. u2022 Develop legal strategies to address emerging challenges and ensure organizational compliance. u2022 Support the legal team in resolving complex in-house matters as they arise. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in contract negotiations and litigation. u2022 Strong ability to analyze and address regulatory risks and ambiguities. u2022 Background in healthcare law or related legal fields is highly preferred. u2022 Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with government officials, external counsel, and organizational leadership. u2022 Familiarity with legal matters related to transgender care is an advantage. u2022 Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate with a team of attorneys. u2022 Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills. u2022 Licensed to practice law with a strong track record of integrity and attention to detail.
