The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing monthly financial statements, directing and coordinating all accounting functions, budgeting, forecasting and providing ownership with vital information for decision-making processes. Responsibilities u2022 Oversee and direct all accounting functions, including payroll and banking u2022 Prepare and present monthly consolidated financial statements and directorsu2019 reports u2022 Review and approve divisional work papers supporting the monthly closing process u2022 Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures across divisions u2022 Conduct monthly analytical review of financial statements, identifying and explaining major changes u2022 Provide vital information to ownership for decision-making processes u2022 Assist in business development and acquisitions u2022 Develop and monitor business performance metrics and KPIs u2022 Evaluate the effectiveness of accounting software and related databases as needed u2022 Oversee regulatory corporate compliance reporting u2022 Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations u2022 Interface with insurance brokers on policy renewals u2022 Oversee compliance with all tax reporting, including payroll, property, sales, and income tax.
