Accounting Manager

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Hot Springs, Arkansas. In this role, you will oversee key financial operations, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency and accuracy. Responsibilities: u2022 Lead and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and analyzing variances. u2022 Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with organizational policies and reporting deadlines. u2022 Coordinate with external auditors to provide required documentation, schedules, and explanations during financial audits. u2022 Monitor and maintain internal controls, addressing deficiencies and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. u2022 Prepare and review complex journal entries for accruals, reserves, and adjustments. u2022 Manage daily banking operations, including cash reporting, reconciliations, and assistance with wire transfers. u2022 Support strategic initiatives through financial analysis, forecasting, and participation in special projects. u2022 Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities for process improvement and strengthen accounting practices. u2022 Maintain detailed records of accounting policies, procedures, and control narratives to ensure audit readiness. Requirements u2022 A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management roles. u2022 Proficiency in month-end close processes and general ledger management. u2022 Strong knowledge of financial statement audits and regulatory compliance. u2022 Expertise in account reconciliation and preparation of journal entries. u2022 Familiarity with managing accruals, reserves, and adjustments. u2022 Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform financial forecasting and variance analysis. u2022 Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with internal and external stakeholders. u2022 Solid understanding of internal controls and process improvement strategies.
