Powell is an engineered to order manufacturer of switchgear and electrical equipment for the power generation industry. The Senior Electrical Assembler will perform various duties on power control rooms including bending, running, installing, and terminating electrical conduit. Four 10s Schedule: Monday-Thursday 3:00pm-1:30am. The Senior Electrical Assembler will perform various duties on power control rooms including bending, running, installing, and terminating electrical conduit. Essential Responsibilities u2022Install electrical devices (disconnects, lights, panel boards, transformers, battery chargers, lighting contactors, VFDs, etc.) u2022Bend, run, and install conduit (EMT and Rigid) u2022Install wireway u2022Install cable tray u2022Pull wire and large cable u2022Cut, strip, crimp, and terminate wires u2022Install wiring by following standard work/process instructions (NEC Manual) u2022Learn and adhere to all safety policies and practices to avoid safety incidents u2022Learn and adhere to all manufacturing policies and practices to ensure consistent production u2022Ensure quality by following standard work/process instructions and identifying any potential risks to product quality u2022Ensure that work areas remain clean and well organized Minimum Qualifications u2022Minimum of high school diploma or GED and 5+ year of relevant manufacturing experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant manufacturing experience u2022Must have a basic command of the English language, both written and verbal u2022Experience installing cable tray u2022Experience installing wire way u2022Ability to crimp and terminate wires u2022Ability to read drawings or blueprints u2022Working knowledge of electricity, circuits, and functions of common components (panel boards, transformers, disconnects, terminal blocks, relays, lighting contactors, etc) u2022Ability to read drawings (wiring diagrams, schematics, layout drawings) u2022Working knowledge of relevant NEC Code sections Preferred Qualifications u2022Mentoring skills u2022Troubleshooting ability u2022Time and project management u2022Able to generate a material take off Skills, Abilities & Other Requirements u2022Ability to perform tasks with minimal direction or supervision u2022Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations u2022Knowledge of air, hand, and power tools u2022Basic mechanical knowledge u2022Ability to read a tape measure u2022Employee is expected to meet or exceed established Electrical Assembler II productivity run rates Working & Environmental Conditions Lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally + Constantly standing + Frequently working from a ladder and climbing up and down ladders. + Constantly working overhead + Constantly working in cramped quarters More Information This job description outlines the essential functions of the job and does not contain a comprehensive list of all possible responsibilities, tasks, and duties.
